Gene Eastman
CEO
Gene founded Green Mt Merchandise (GMM) in 1986 by purchasing a small Embroidery Business in Vermont. Primarily creating letterman Jackets for local schools throughout New England. Soon adding Screen Printing services to the roster Green Mt Merchandise grew rapidly. As the business grew, Gene was able to merge his first passion of classic cars and his growing screen printing and embroidery company, together. He started off hand printing event shirts at local car shows and from there started to take on larger national car events like Super Chevy Shows, Autorama, World of Wheels and Carlisle Events. Exposure to these customers eventually led to the purchase of another car related apparel company from Detroit. Johny Rockstar Clothing was then born and with that came licensing from General Motors and Dodge. The company’s physical location has moved a few times in the past 40 years but remains in Vermont. Gene’s dedication to the auto industry, love of hot rods and the drive to produce the best quality product has remained the same. When Gene is not leading the team at GMM, you can find him in his garage twisting wrenches on one of his several Hot Rod projects.
Julie Eastman
Director of Licensing
Julie and Gene have been married since 2009 after meeting in Key West. Julie joined GMM in January of 2007 and has primarily been Assistant Road Manager and Director of Licensing. Prior to GMM Julie worked in banking after graduating college with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. Julie collaborates with the various licensors to ensure all products featuring cars are fully licensed, approved and sampled correctly. Julie works road events as needed and helps with the companies' hiring and general Human Resource needs. In 2021 she purchased a 1972 VW Bus and converted it into a mobile taproom available for parties or weddings. This side hobby has been a great way to stay immersed in the car culture.
Dylan Eastman
Road Manager
Dylan is Gene’s youngest son and has become a very integrated, important part of the GMM team. Dylan’s official title is Road Manager but due to his car obsession he has become the main car show artist as well as website developer. Dylan runs the newer division called Car Show Gear and manages all of our events. With over twenty car shows on the roster each summer that can keep him busy. Dylan inherited Gene’s love for hot rods, but his passion is now becoming the drift scene. Gene and Dylan purchased this 74 Nova when Dylan was 12 as a hobby car. Dylan tends to switch attention from the American Muscle to his Nissan/Drifting love but is happy in anything that has a motor, four wheels and can do a burn out!
John West
Sales Director
John West is the person you will most likely talk to if you call GMM to process and/or place your order. John has been with the company in Vermont since 2011 and does just about everything. His official title is Sales Director, and we always know John has his thumb on every order that moves through the company. John grew up in San Bernadino, California and relocated to New Hampshire after meeting his wife in 2009. John loves the cool weather New England has to offer and spends his time with his family and his adorable pup Yoda. When asked John claims his hobbies are building ships in a bottle and stamp collecting, this is not the John we know, but this is what he claims.
Dennis Dwinnell
Art Director
Dennis is our company's Art Director and has been with GMM on and off for over 15 years. Dennis worked for us when the company was really growing from 2001-2012 and left to pursue a CHEESY (lol) job at Cabot Creamery. He came back because he missed us all so much in 2021. As Art Director all art moves through Dennis at some point in the process. He is the outdoorsy one of our team enjoying spending his time at his off-the grid cabin in the North Country of Vermont, kayaking, hiking, and camping. When asked about his hobbies we were surprised to learn Dennis enjoys collecting and repairing Ax’s. Beware!
Allyn Clarke
Bookkeeper
Allyn Clarke is the GMM Bookkeeper. Allyn grew up in New England and has been with GMM for 14 years. Allyn handles all of the bookkeeping for GMM, Johnny Rockstar Clothing and Car Show Gear. Allyn enjoys spending time with her husband and grandson, loves her visits to Key West and is a craft beer connoisseur.
